Charlie & Jake’s Barbecue – Indian Harbour Beach

Over twenty years ago Charlie Johnson brought his Alabama style of Barbecue to the beaches of the Space Coast. We would like to sincerely thank NASA for transferring Charlie from Huntsville Alabama to Melbourne, we owe them one!

Over the years Charlie and Jake’s has become a fixture in the beachside community, and we love having the opportunity to speak to our regulars who share their stories about eating here in the beginning.

While other Barbecue places have been popping up all over the place, we have remained true to our style. If you happen to have mistakenly stumbled into a different barbecue place we forgive you, look around and check it out because there’s a pretty good chance that they got some of their ideas from us! Actually one of them was started by some former employees who took the entire menu and recipe book and opened a place a little north of here, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery right!
