Murdock’s Southern Bistro

Murdock’s: For 16 years it’s been the place on the corner, at the very end of the village, where at any given time you can catch a free “show” with your meal. Founded in 2001 by three school teachers who were thick as thieves and happened to share the common ground of being burnt out on their current career choices, it is now solely owned and operated by the lone survivor of the original trifecta, Stevie Whitaker.

What was once Murdock’s Grocery Store, built in the early 40’s, the building you are sitting in has had a history as rich as the friendships that have been forged here. Pieced together with doors from the old Brevard Hotel and a back porch made from the bleachers of the old Cocoa High School, with each step you’re crossing paths with years of living.

Over the course of the last 16 years though Murdock’s has become more than just a local restaurant and bar, it has been the home of some of the most colorful employees the village has ever seen. Not to mention an array of home cooked meals tat could make even the most finicky of mouths, water. Recently revitalized with the help of a new GM, Vinny, and a brand new head chef, Joel, the Murdock’s experience has been enhanced over the last year. With an almost brand new staff, menu and inside decor, we’re as close as you can be to being brand spanking new.

With live music six nights a week, food specials nightly and your choice of being waited on by the likes of staff with monikers such as Yams or Yogurt, we can promise you three things when you’re at Murdock’s: You’ll feel like you’re at home.
